I purchased this device with high – but realistic – expectations, and I wasn’t disappointed! Throughout the 5 months I researched it before buying, I read every article and blog, and watched every video I possibly could find about that, and so I had a thought of their capabilities along with its perceived shortcomings. However, the shortcomings, I really believe, came from unrealistic expectations. As an example, there is a lots of complaint concerning the position of this camera to the front belonging to the device rather then to the back, facing far from the person. I wasn’t disappointed in that, considering that the device is required primarily for interactive video using Skype (and others). Yes you will need photos, that is not the principal purpose for the camera, therefore i didn’t have expectations to use it as one

There is a learning curve for me, as I’ve never used Linux before. Nevertheless it is usable right from the actual box even going to a windows user like me, very easy to find my way across the device, and even included a starting video directly on the opening screen!

Although I purchased this on March 2, my first device was defective. Nokia’s tech support was Top of the range, both on the phone, and via email. They worked with me to acquire the device returned, and sent a better within several days. This is the first Nokia purchase I’ve ever made but I’m so impressed with their customer care that it definitely will not be the last.

Battery life is long, and this has replaced my PalmPilot (games, telephone numbers, notes) and Zune (mp3′s, photos), plus my bedside alarm clock and radio. I carry it with me everywhere, and tune in to both mp3′s and my favorite interent radio station, depending on the availability of a wifi signal, and can show all of my photos to anyone at any time, with less effort than in a photo album. Additionally I’m able to keep up with my email and Facebook (use [...[]|] in a mobile version of the site) when I stop somewhere for lunch, and can research anything on the internet on the fly.

The N810 review will also connect with the internet via my cell phone using bluetooth, but I haven’t had the occasion to use that feature as most places I go in our small town have wifi and that’s primarily why I purchased the device.

I’m thrilled with my N810 review and it has quickly become a huge part of my everyday life, in the time I turn off its alarm clock in the morning, until the time I fall asleep listening to internet radio during the night time!
